We have been really lucky with Somersault events, as we have missed almost all the rain (touch wood!), and we have also been fortunate to have so many of you participate in our events over the last two months. We are looking forward to seeing even more of you at our last few events of the 2009 season, so take a look and come on back to Run, or to Du one more Tri !

The Canadian Triathlon, Duathlon, Kayak/Canoe Tri, Run, Swim, SwimCycle – September 5 is coming up soon and we invite you to enter if you haven’t yet. It is an event like no other. You can choose from the following events:

Canadian Entry Deadlines
Here are the important deadlines for entry to the Canadian:
·Regular Entry Fee Deadline – Monday August 24 at Midnight
·Souvenir Shirt and Online Entry Deadline – Sunday August 30 at Midnight
·Pre-Race Day on Site late Entry – Saturday September 4 – 3-7:00 p.m.
·Race Day Entry – Sunday September 5 – 6-7:00 a.m.

Last Chance Triathlon and Nepean Trail Runs – September 20
We are really keen on the Last Chance Triathlon & Duathlon, as well as the Nepean Trail Runs at the Nepean Sportsplex. It is a fabulous way to end the triathlon season, featuring shorter distance triathlons, relays for everyone, and tame trail runs on the trails behind the Sportsplex.

It is a perfect opportunity for school age kids to give it a tri, either solo or on a relay team. While the trail runs are perfect for those who are tired of the streets, and want a forest covered path, this is the event. The trails are suitable for everyone, as they are flat and well worn.

Bring your family. School friends, or co-workers and give it a tri. The pool swim of 100M or 500M makes this event possible for almost anyone.
